We had gumbo and shrimp potato soup. And then the mixed seafood platter. It was good! Friendly service, brown paper on the tables. The boils looked great. Fun!!

I actually thought this place was pretty good. Great unintentional ambiance: kind of run down, screened in kitchen for the crawfish, brown paper table cloths, zydeco in the background. This place was exactly what I was looking for in southern Louisiana. Run down looking, great friendly service (even if they forgot to put my order in), great people watching, people helping themselves to drinks (honor system). Great place and great boiled shrimp, I should of gotten the mudbugs though, EVERYONE was getting them. Felt very not "southern Louisiana Morgan City trendy."

Greasiest and absolutely the worst seafood I have ever had in my life. Catfish was so dirty and fishy tasting it was almost rotten. No cocktail sauce or lemon served with meal. Only iced tea was bottled Nestea. Onion rings were out of a bag and soggy with grease. Long John Silvers gets 5 stars compared to this which I rate with 1 star bc I can't put zero. Rice that went with bland, tasteless white beans was hard. All other customers were eating boiled crawfish, which is not in season. Guess they have had the fried food before. We kindly complained about the bad fish, which they admitted was probably the "old" fish, and they removed my coke and bottled water from the $30 bill. Gee, thanks. Looked like a good little mom and pop place but sometimes looks are deceiving. I'm from the New Orleans area and I know good seafood, and this was not it. Do yourself a favor and keep driving when you see this place.

Don't let the outside of the building scare you away. This is down home cooking and Southern hospitality you can't pass up. Being from California, we had never tried a crawfish boil. Everyone told us this was the place to go. The food was delicious, and both the waitress and the manager made sure we learned the proper technique for peeling our crawfish. They also helped us figure out which size bucket to order. We ordered some boiled shrimp to go with a 4 lb bucket, and it was more than enough for two people. Another person in our party had the fried shrimp, which he says is definitely the best he's ever had. All of us LOVED the crawfish, and especially the spices they use at Susie's. If you are anywhere near Morgan City, don't miss this gem.

Kind of disappointed:/ Susie's used to be so good, but I have eaten here twice in the last 4 days, and both times I was kind of underwhelmed. Not seasoned very well, and not sure what happened to the old recipe and the seasoning also on the outside, but I can't wait til it comes back. Come back, Susie! Til then I will hope, but will return. Besides the crawfish, the atmosphere is very nice. Also, order ahead!!

I have eaten crawfish all over louisianna and the Texas coast. The crawfish here were some of the best I have ever had! Perfect spice and cooked perfect! Service was great and the staff very friendly and good people! Definitely a must go if in Morgan City!!!

Look, you have to understand, this place is NOT a 5 star restaurant. When the only silverware I got was a knife, I was suspicious. And then the brown paper 'table cloths' slightly bothered me. But when the food came: it was glorious. We ordered seafood by the pound, and it came boiled in cajun sauce...or some seasoned broth. I live in Indianapolis, IN, and my co-workers live in Minneapolis, MN; so this was seafood heaven for us. Susie (the owner) actually noticed I wasn't eating my crab right, and she came over and scooped the crabmeat out into an onion skin and fed me! I know that sounds weird, but it was beyond AMAZING. I'm going to New Iberia for work, but I WILL drive the one hour to Morgan city to get Susie's. I highly recommend going; it's a once in a lifetime experience for someone like me who doesn't go to Louisiana a lot.

Sunday was an absolutely perfect day. At Susie's, the crawfish is fresh, the music is blasting, and the service is wonderful. Upon walking in, we were met with a warm family-style welcome. We ordered some appetizers (bacon wrapped shrimp, boudin balls, fries) which were all really yummy. My cousin couldn't stop complimenting the service. The best part was the twelve pounds of crawfish that they dumped in the middle of our brown-paper covered table. We got our hands dirty and our tummy's full. I would highly recommend Susie's Seafood over any of the other seafood places around the area.

Pretty basic, but it was a fun experience for my Texan girlfriend to get some crawfish guts in her fingernails. :) Got 4lbs of Crawfish, Corn, Potatoes, 2 waters, and bacon wrapped shrimp. With a tip - $41. So it was pretty pricey considering I could have eating 8lbs of Crawfish.
